Go Local!

Tulsa Clean Food Market– A coalition of local farmers and producers list their items, I place what I need in my cart, and check out. On Saturday (every other), I go pick up the items I ordered. This is especially nice in the winter when the Farmer’s Markets end.

Three Springs Farm CSA– We joined a couple of years ago, and this is a great way to purchase local, organic produce at a reasonable price! They are also at the Cherry Street Farmer’s Market on Saturdays and Wednesday at 41st and Peoria market. Emily and Mike are great people, and I enjoy talking to them each Saturday!

Bootstrap Farms CSA– This is Bootstraps first year to have a CSA, and I am looking forward to their fall/winter CSA as an opportunity to continue to get clean local food on our table! At the end of the 2009 season, I was able to purchase 40 pounds of organic sweet potatoes for $40! A total steal! Don and Chelsea are also great to visit with at the weekend markets!
